Tea Boxes and SWEET STUFF!!!

Hello to all of you!!! And I can say that it is a joy to be back in the land of the living. If you read my last post you will understand why I have been missing in action and out of commission for several weeks. I hope that your past weeks have been much more pleasant than mine have been. BUT things are looking up.....FINALLY!!!

Today is my turn to post on the CutCardStock Blog and for December we are using the absolutely gorgeous Stardream Metallic Collection. For my project I made a couple of Tea Boxes--one quite simple and another more decorated...

For the blue one I used Stardream Metallic Vista CS and POW Silver Glitter paper. The NOEL is a small ornament and the dimensional snowflakes were made using the Layered Snowflakes Die Set and the Snowflake Mini Seal Die from Whimsy Stamps.

For the pink one I used Stardream Metallic Bluebell (Blue Topaz) CS and Stardream Metallic Rose Quartz (Pink) CS. For the floral treatment I used various mulberry flowers from WOC. The pregathered blue lace and the pink braid are from my stash. All of the other embellishments are from the beautiful Tilda (of Norway) Tiny Treasures paper pad and dimensional sticker pack. I have long been a fan of Tilda of Norway! As a matter of fact I met this Tilda at about the same time I met Tilda from Sweden. My first purchases were made possible in 2006 after I contacted the designer of this sweet Tilda of Norway, Tone Finnanger. She was so helpful and such a delight! These Tilda products are now available in the US and are offered by the talented and kind Traci Savely in her magnificent Art Attack Shop. I'm sure you will fall in love with these sweeties too!!!

I hope you like my projects and will let me know what you think of them. I have given a complete tutorial and more pictures over on the CutCardStock Blog and would love to see your creative take on my tutorial.

SWEET STUFF!!!!

$25 E-Gift Card!!!!!

I am personally offering a $25 e-gift card at the CutCardStock shop to one of my lucky followers. All you need to do is go over to the CutCardStock Blog, read my tutorial, and leave a comment letting me know what you think of it. The winner will be selected on Sunday, December 21!! Good Luck!!!

Thank you all so much for dropping by and I hope to see you again real soon!!! I am so appreciative of all of the positive regard, kind emails, sweet messages, etc that I have received!!! Until the next time, I send big hugs to all!!!

WINNERS!!!!

Hello, everyone! I hope the past several weeks has been much more pleasant for you than it has been for me...Gosh!!! I had the oral surgery to extract two molars and a bone graft and shield with about a pound of stitches (it feels like) and have been back a couple of times for stitch removal in my mouth. At least I was in the twilight zone so I didn't know what was happening UNTIL the feeling started to come back...EEEEEK!!! Then if that was not enough, last Tuesday I had to go for my check up at the Cancer Center, and was informed that I had to be at a hospital in Asheville on Wednesday for yet another twilight time for some unmentionable surgery. Believe me, two knock out sessions within a month and the resultant aftershock has kept me out of commission and missing in action for these past few weeks!! BUT, things are finally beginning to look up!!! Whew!!

But I need to let Mr Random.org name the two winners from my last posting...so here you go...

Congratulations, ladies!! Please leave a comment on this posting and send me your mailing information so that I can get your prizes to you right away. I hope to hear from you before Saturday, December 20 at noon ET!

I will be back tomorrow with a project and a nice SWEET STUFF so I hope to see you then! Thank you for your sweet comments and your visits. Big hugs!!

I am terrified!!!

Today is my turn to show a project at the Holiday Countdown Series at the CutCardStock Blog and would love for you to come visit me there!! I made a couple of 6 pocket folders to fill with hot chocolate mixes and spiced cider mixes. The project is not something I invented but after seeing it some 6-7 years ago, it remains one of my favorite projects to make and have on hand when I need a quick little gift.

On the first folder I used the lovely Holly Vine Die from Whimsy Stamps and on the second folder I used the cute little Letter to Santa from the Art by Mi Ran Collection at Whimsy Stamps. You can find all of my instructions at the CutCardStock Blog. I hope you will try it and let me see your creative take on this fun project!!

Gift Card Ornaments...SWEET STUFF...Winners!!

A very happy Friday to everyone!! Gosh, I hope you are as ready for the weekend as I am. This has been a trying week. I have been at the oral surgeon, then had a flu shot, and have been sick sick sick ever since! But tomorrow is a NEW day!! lol

Today is my turn to post at the CutCardStock Blog and again I have created something that is a bit different for me. I dislike shopping so much and love the idea of gift cards...so I have made some ornament/tags to put the gift cards in. I have been inspired by the very talented Kittie Caracciolo who is such a master of 3D and tiny scenes.

I have given directions on the CutCardstock Blog and would love for you to come over and visit me!! I have mostly used the Impression Obsession Christmas Icons die set to create my little scenes and as you can see the set consists of 8 separate dies:

SWEET STUFF!!

I bought an extra set of these cute dies to give to some lucky Follower. All I am asking is that you leave a comment on this posting and go over and leave a comment on my CutCardstock Blog posting before Sunday at midnight ET and you will be in for the draw for the die set. Good Luck!!

In The Apple Orchard for Art By Mi Ran Challenge 18

Happy Day to everyone!! I hope you have had a great week and are ready for a fun weekend. I have to share with you that our weekend is threatened with that bad word SNOW!!!! Gosh, it's too early in these mountains for that white stuff...eeeeek!!

Today is the start of Challenge 18 at the Art By Mi Ran Challenge and as always anything goes. So come on over and join in with us so we can see your lovely creations. It had been quite some time for me to make a scene card. This little Miss Apple image kept whispering to me that she wanted to be in the apple orchard!!

I started with the blue background and added a wood textured frame cut with Layering Squares and propped up with dimensional tape to give dimension and depth to the scene. Inside the frame I added a pretty SRTC chipboard tree NAT-333 which I cut to fit within the frame. I painted the tree with brown acrylic paint before embossing the top with three shades of green embossing powder. I added a couple of die cut clouds for the sky and mixed greens of FlowerSoft for the ground. I then added some tiny die cut apples for the tree. I had to really concentrate to color the stems of those apples...lol The sweet image was colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Glossy Accents to her apples. I also die cut more apples and an apple basket for the foreground. All that was left to add was a fluffy triple gingham bow to the left side. And that's my scene card for a while!!!! I would love to hear what you think of it!!!

WINNER!!

Thank you all so much for your visit to me at the CutCardStock blog and thank you for all of the sweet comments. Mr Random.org has selected the winner of the stamps and dies and the winner is.....

Congratulations!! Please leave a comment on this posting so that others know that you have claimed your prize and send me an email before Saturday at noon ET.

An Autumn Ensemble and Christmas SWEET STUFF!!!

A very happy day to everyone! I hope that you are having a delightful week. Our weather is definitely AUTUMN and I can tell by the huge amount of leaves on the ground. I am such a spring and summer person that, although the fall colors are beautiful, I don't like this season at all because I know that winter will soon follow...sigh!!!

For my posting at the CutCardStock blog today I was inspired by the bright and fun colors of SUNFLOWERS. I made a happy vase using a straight side clear glass vase, some dowels, and cardstocks from the CutCardstock shop...AND with my scraps I made some matching note cards.

All directions and more views are available at the CutCardStock blog so I hope you will come over and let me know what you think of my project this time!!

Just a Happy Card and some SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy almost the middle of the week, my friends!! I hope that your week is going well and we just have to remember that the weekend is almost halfway here!!

I wanted to show you a card that was published in the Fall Edition of Through the Craft Room Door magazine which I never showed on my blog so I hope you like it!

My inspiration for this card came from my lovely friend, Bev Rochester so thanks a milliion, Bev!! I cut the card with a Frilly Square using Bazzill for the base and matting and the DP is Maja Designs and Crea-motion. The sweet image is from the Art by Mi Ran Collection at Etsy and she is Stephanie Brings Surprises. I have colored her with Copics and Promarkers, adding a touch of Prisma Glitter to her dress and clear Wink of Stella to the flowers. I used white cotton lace to make a rosette nosegay for the upper right corner and topped it with a red rose button. I am hoping it matches the nosegay little Stephanie is holding. I used the same lace for the horizontal. The Kisses and Hugs sentiments are from the Whimsy Stamps Love Mini Tickets stamp set cut out with the Mini Ticket Die.

The flowers and stamens are all from WOC as is the metal heart.

The inside uses the same basic design as the front of the card.

SWEET STUFF!!!

I have a Whimsy Stamps Layered Flowers Die Set that I would like to give to a lucky commenter. The set consists of four flowers, each a different size and shape and can be used in so many ways! Just leave a comment and you will be in for the draw on Thursday! Good Luck!!

Baubles and More Baubles!!!

Happy Monday to each of you!! I hope that you have had a marvelous weekend and are ready for a great week. We are in for several days of rain so inside crafting time is not so bad!!

As I am sure you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so please, please, please remember those mammograms and self-exams. As a SURVIVOR, I can share with you the importance of both!!!

Today is my turn to post over on the CutCardStock Blog and I have something a little different to show you. Not so long ago I was going through a lot of boxes in my parents' cellar and found a box of paper Christmas ornaments that my brother and I made some 60 years ago. So I will share my take on what we made. I have used the idea to make a Breast Cancer Bauble for one of my PINK SISTERS!!

I used a 3 1/2" circle punch for all of the circles cut from cardstock. All of the embellies are from my stash, including the little breast cancer awareness pins.

Here are the Christmas baubles I made for my posting at the CutCardStock Blog and I have given complete instructions for them. They are so easy and quick that your children and grandchildren will love making them.

I would love for you to come over to the CutCardStock Blog and let me know what you think. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for dropping by today and I hope to see you again real soon!! Until the next time, Big Hugs!!

Gosh! She's framed!!!

Happy Thursday, everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful week...I am on a little sabbatical with some friends to shop and hike, and visit interesting NC places. I hope your week is special also!!

Today is my turn to post at the Southern Ridge Trading Company Blog, and I would love for you to come for a visit!! I have used the beautiful frame - FRA-133 and it was so much fun!

First, I painted the frame with white acrylic spray paint. I then used square Spellbinders to frame and reframe the frame...haha The SB squares fit perfectly around and into the opening of FRA-133. I added some lavender stitched ribbon for the verticals and for the single flat bows. I used MS rose leaf cuts and some mulberry roses for the corners of the frame. The sweet image is a Wee Stamps digi Maya which I colored with Copics and Promarkers, adding Prisma Glitter to her wings. The DP is from the Memory Box Enchanted paper pack. Finally I added rhinestones to soften the corners. I admit that I flew by the seat of my pants on this card, so I would really appreciate hearing what you think about it!!!

Thank you so much for coming by today and I hope to see you again real soon!! Until the next time....Big Hugs!!

Happy Friday to everyone!! I hope your week has been a special one and that you are ready for a GREAT weekend! Fall has reached these mountains for certain...leaves are changing colors and the temps are dropping...brrrrrrrr

Today is #16 Challenge at Art by Mi Ran Challenge where ANYTHING GOES...so please come over and join us!! We would love to see your gorgeous creations!!  My card today is quite unusual for me but was a request of a CAS card...so I can honestly say that this type of card is VERY difficult for me and looks pretty naked to me...hahahaha

I used the darling April's Rain and I think she is just the cutest girlie in her froggy boots and tiny frog on her rain jacket!! She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and Promarkers. I added Glossy Accents to the raindrops and Clear Wink Of Stella to the leaf and rain boots. The DP is from the Family Ties paper pad. For the horizontal, I merely added dark blue grosgrain ribbon topped with yellow satin and spring green grosgrain. The only other addition is a cute little enamel frog button that I found in my stash--I just love his wiggly eyes!!!!

Autumn Tealight Gift and SWEET STUFF!!!

Happy Monday to everyone and welcome to a brand new week. I hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to a marvelous week. This was such a wonderful weekend to be outside in the fall-like weather so I used it as a great time to plant 15 Encore azaleas. Can you believe that some that I planted last year are still blooming this late in the season???

Today is my turn to post over at the CutCardstock Blog and I would love for you to have a visit. I found some very inexpensive tealights and they are such a yummy autumn scent but in such a non-pretty packaging. So I decided with a little bit of cardstock and a few embellies that this could be quite a nice little gift. I used Bronze, Fine Gold, and Flame CS from the Stardream Metallic  line at CutCardStock, DP from Memory Box Nightfall paper pad, an embossed chipboard tree and fence, GAR-185, from Southern Ridge Trading Company, metal corners, and organza ribbon.  I have given complete instructions over on the blog, would appreciate your evaluation of my tutorial, and would love to see how you use the project.

I first made this matchbox style box for the tealights to serve as the base for the project.

And this is the finished project which I think anyone would like to receive!!

SWEET STUFF!!!

I have put together a little package of goodies that I think you might like and all you have to do is go over to the CutCardstock Blog and leave a comment. The winner will be selected from the comments on that blog.
